Ford GT40
In the
history of the motorcar never has so much
passion being shown for any model than for
the Ford GT40. Designed by the manufacturer
boasting the blue oval with a determination
to beat the Ferraris at Le Mans, the GT40
has outshone brilliantly in competition …
before becoming one of the world’s most
desirable cars. This gave the American
branch of Ford the idea to revive the myth
at the dawn of the 21st century. And so the
Ford GT was born, enhancing the inimitable
style of the GT40 with today’s technological
solutions. The commercial success of this
limited edition was instantaneous. But what
about the competition side of things? Thanks
to the initiative of the Swiss organisation
Matech Concepts, the Ford GT was adapted to
the international GT3 regulations. Having
been technically specified the car is
competing in the European FIA GT3
championship, with a dazzling success. As
from the second meeting of the sporting
season victory was already on the books.
